Guns of Glory: Asia is a fun strategic game with mechanics that very similar to those used by the popular 'Clash of Kings' or 'Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire'. But that's not all it has in common with these games, it also shares its stylized visuals.
This time, you're in control of an exiled musketeer who has to take back what's his from his evil archenemy: Cardinal Richelieu. Luckily, he's surrounded by his loyal fans and armed with (only) a futuristic zeppelin. To complete your mission, you have to manage resources, recruit units and face players from all over the world in real-time for the hegemony of the empire.
Although the gameplay may seem complex and even unmanageable at first, mastering it is actually really simple. The dynamics of the games are divided into two very different sections: first, you must focus your efforts on creating buildings that can maximize the use of resources. These resources can be invested in recruiting more and more new and powerful units that will be crucial during the second phase, the combat phase. During the combat phase, you have to attack neighboring citadels as well as defend your own from external attacks.
Guns of Glory: Asia is a game that doesn't really offer anything too groundbreaking to the genre. However, its history mode and the inclusion of the charismatic musketeers is always an option for those who have exhausted the possibilities of similar titles.
